Escresco Gravitas
Submission for the Godot Wild Jam #79
CARDS USED(press "view info" to see them in-game):
* One-Handed : you only need a mouse(sorry mousepad users i forgor about you)
* Feeling Chemistry : you can combine your mass with smaller planets that you eat
CONTROLS:
-Hold right mouse button and drag to look around (you can change the sensitivity in the main menu)
-Hold left mouse button to move your planet in the direction you are facing (base speed is dependent on how far away you are from a gravitational source. The closer you are, the faster.)
-Double click and hold left mouse button for a speed boost. This will drain your rings, which acts like a stamina bar. Your rings will regenerate if you do not boost.
-Scroll up/down zooms in and out
Escresco Gravitas is a game that is similar to Agario, but it is 3D and it is set in space around a solar system. You grow your planet by colliding into smaller planets and gaining their mass. However, these planets can do the same. If you collide into a bigger planet, you will be eaten and you will lose. The winning condition is to grow bigger than the sun and eat it.
I have no idea if I will update this game, but I like it's potential. If given the time, this game could be so much more. I liked making it, and I liked playing it, but I won't guarantee that I will work on this game after the GWJ #79 is over. I want to make 3D games and this is a mediocre display, so I will be learning more about 3D games along with learning how to do shaders in Godot. I did not make the shaders for the planets, all credits goes to Naejimer for his planet shader addon for Godot. Other than that, I used Scratch as a sound editor for the sounds used in the game. I do not have a real sound editor, so I would appreciate it if one of you guys reading this recommended one in the comments.
Thank you for playing.
(escresco is meant to be excresco but i mispelt it when i wrote everything and did not realise until now)
